Established 1924 – A Legacy of Excellence

Florence Country Club was founded in 1924 and has proudly served as a cornerstone of the Florence community for over a century. While the original architect remains unknown, the 18-hole golf course was crafted in the classic Donald Ross style, thoughtfully utilizing the natural contours of its scenic 77-acre site.

With a rich history spanning generations, FCC has long been a hub for golf, tennis, and vibrant social activities, offering members a welcoming and enduring club experience.

FCC has proudly contributed to the careers of many notable players, including Buddy Baker, 1958 USGA Junior Amateur Champion and one of eight South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame members affiliated with our club.

Membership is open to individuals and families who want to be part of an active, welcoming club experience. All you need is sponsorship from three current members, and our team will guide you through the rest.

Our resort-style pool offers lifeguards, shaded lounging areas, private cabanas, and a lively poolside grill. It is a favorite hangout for families all summer long.

Guest Information

Florence Country Club offers a second to none 18-hole golf course in the Florence area, 6 newly surfaced hard tennis courts and 2 new underground watered clay tennis courts, swimming pool complete with lifeguards and snack bar service, multiple rooms in the main Clubhouse available for banquet services, North and South Ballrooms, Mixed Grill Dining Area and the Formal Dining room.

The use of the Clubhouse banquet facilities is reserved strictly for members.  Members may sponsor someone to use the Club but the member must reserve the room for the non-member before any event planning can begin.  Non-members pay a room rental fee and any food and beverage requirement for either a member or non-member event must be purchased from the Club.

Membership within Florence Country Club is by invitation only.  All invitations to membership shall be in writing and in the form prescribed by the Board of Directors, signed by the invitee and his sponsor and endorsed with letters of recommendation.  All invitations for membership must be approved by the affirmative vote of the Board of Directors.
